Before taking 658, I played with a bit of HTML on MySpace but just changing font colors, background
colors, and border colors. I was used to blogging, but only for myself. I'm still gaining experience as an online
gamer.
I am familiar with Publisher and various photo editing programs. I'm a font fiend, and download
free fonts just to have them. After downloading free desktop themes, I learned to design my own that included icons
and music, but I'm still trying to figure out those damn cursors. Grrr...
I was familiar with the functionality of basic computer use in the area of composition and have been
experienced in tutoring students in the Victor Valley College Writing Center on how to format papers, save their work (on
a thumb drive, floppy disk, hard drive, and by emailing it to themselves). I've helped people set up email accounts,
build resumes, design Power Point presentations, and research databases and websites.
Now, I'm designing my own website, combining both some HTML and the use of the page-building templates. Though I considered blogging as a form of asymmetrical
collaboration, I never considered group blogging as a source of entertainment...and Sofido really has been.
