I never had the intention of getting into an online role-playing game, let alone addicted to one.  My husband played EverQuest, and then started playing EverQuest 2 before he discovered the outstanding graphics and gameplay of World of WarcraftHe literally begged me for months to try the game, and I refused, telling him that the game is too addicting, too time-consuming, and, in all honesty, stupid.  Man, was I wrong!

I finally broke down and made a deal with him.  If he got either pierced or tattooed, I would at least try the game. He stipulated that I had to level a character to at least 10 after he got inked.  I figured he would get pierced since it's more temporary, but he decided to get a tattoo instead.  Big shocker there.

Oh, yeah, I got inked too...

I have several characters on WoW.  My main character is a Night Elf (they can hide in the shadows and do flips when the jump) Druid (they can shapeshift into different forms for travel or fighting, and they're healers).  It took me the better part of a year to get Badra leveled to 60, which is currently as high as a "toon" can go.

I also have a Night Elf hunter named Cerridwen (with a pet named Cernnunos), a Night Elf Rogue, a Gnome Warrior, and a few other characters that I rarely play.  Hunters are the only characters that can have a pet that sort of acts as a second character -- kind of.  I'm usually a "good guy," fighting for the side of the Alliance.

Last year, to make up for all the vacations and road trips I get to take either alone or with a friend, my husband went to LA for two days and attended BlizzCon.  This allowed him to be invited to Beta test the expansion for WoW: The Burning Crusade.  In helping him test the Beta, I've rolled up a few Blood Elves (evil, but beautiful -- they also have the special ability to drain mana -- sort of -- and they spin when they jump).

I'm part of a guild, Paradox, that is devoted to raiding instances (dungeons), such as Molten Core, Black Wing Lair, and Ahn'Qiraj (AQ40).  The photo below is a screen shot in Onyxia's Lair of the dragon Onyxia in flight.  This is my p.o.v., looking up at her.
